Welcome!
Here are short instructions for snowmobile rental providers on how to use the new marketplace platform, along with tips to ensure a smooth rental experience:
How much does it cost me to rent out snowmobiles on your platform?
We operate entirely on a commission basis, with no startup fees. This means that if you don’t receive any rentals through us, using the service won’t cost you anything. Our customer service team will be happy to provide more details.
1. Registration, signing the service and payment provider agreements, and adding your listing to the marketplace
To rent out your snowmobiles, you need to have a Business ID (company, sole proprietorship, etc.). Renting snowmobiles involves safety and liability matters, such as insurance and customer agreements, which are easier to manage when the activity is registered under a company name. Payouts can only be made to a company, not to a private individual. This ensures legal compliance and protects customers’ rights.
Register on the platform: First, create a user account on the marketplace. Typically, you’ll need to provide basic information such as your email, phone number, and Business ID.
Review the service agreement: Carefully read through the service agreement. After registration, our customer service will contact you, and we will sign the agreement before adding your snowmobiles.
Accept and sign the payment service provider (Paytrail) agreement to enable payment processing and revenue payouts. We will initiate the agreement from our side; you’ll only need to complete the missing details (such as bank account number) and sign it.
Add your snowmobile listing:
- Fill in snowmobile details: Provide accurate information such as brand, model, year, power, and fuel type.
- Description and extras: Mention any accessories such as helmets, heated grips, or trail permits. Also note if the snowmobile is suitable for special conditions such as deep snow.
- Photos: Upload high-quality images showing the snowmobile from different angles. A clean and clear appearance attracts more customers.
- Pricing and availability: Set the rental price (initially only per day). Remember to update the calendar to show when the snowmobile is available. By default, all days are open for rentals, so mark any days when the snowmobile is unavailable.
- Set terms and conditions: Define clear rental conditions, such as driver’s license requirements, pickup and return times, and possible extra insurance for damages.
2. Good practices during the rental process
Communication and availability: Be easily reachable before, during, and after the rental. Confirm the rental time and provide pickup instructions well in advance.
Condition check: Make sure the snowmobile is clean and in good condition before handing it over. Ensure all necessary equipment is included. We recommend photographing the snowmobile before handover and after return to prevent possible disputes.
Safety instructions: Instruct the renter on how to use the snowmobile and provide safety guidelines. Explain, for example, how to act in emergencies and what the local riding rules are.
Respectful interaction: Be polite and helpful. Go through all the necessary information with the renter and ensure they understand the instructions and responsibilities.
Feedback collection: Ask the renter for feedback after the rental experience. This will help you improve your service and attract more customers.
By following these instructions, you can create a clear and informative listing, while also offering a safe and enjoyable rental experience!
