Welcome!
From this website, you can easily rent a snowmobile for your own use from different parts of Finland.
Please follow the instructions below to ensure a smooth rental process:
1. Find a suitable snowmobile
Browse listings and/or map: You can browse listings in your area or use the map to search for available snowmobiles at your desired location.
Snowmobile details: Review the features, equipment, and rental conditions of each snowmobile. You can also read user reviews to help you choose a reliable and suitable option. The listing will indicate whether fuel is included in the rental price and whether riding gear is provided.
2. Book the snowmobile
Select dates: Choose your preferred rental start and end dates. Make sure you select the correct rental period. By default, snowmobiles are available for full-day rentals from 9:00 to 18:00. For multi-day rentals, the starting time is usually 09:00, and the return time is 18:00 on the last rental day.
Confirm booking: Check the details of the snowmobile and rental period before confirming your booking. Please note that bookings are binding.
Payment: The booking must be paid either fully or partially in advance at the time of reservation. Payment can be made by credit card, online banking, or other available methods.
3. Pickup and return
Pickup instructions: After confirming your booking, you will receive an email with detailed information about the pickup time and location, as well as the renter’s contact details. Most renters are located in easily accessible areas. We recommend photographing the snowmobile when picking it up and returning it to avoid potential disputes.
Return instructions: The snowmobile must be returned at the agreed time and in the same condition as when picked up. Late returns or damages may result in additional charges.
4. Rental terms and safety
Age limit and driver’s license: Renting requires a minimum age of 18 and a valid driver’s license. varaakelkka.fi requires a photo of both the front and back of your driver’s license when creating an account. The snowmobile must not be handed over to anyone other than the person who made the booking.
Safety guidelines: Helmet use is mandatory, and we recommend wearing protective gear designed for riding. Carefully read the safety instructions provided with your rental.
Insurance: Check which insurances are included in the rental. We recommend taking additional insurance to cover possible damages.
